This is Alden Richard’s year.
After the massive success of the box office hit Hello, Love, Goodbye movie with the first time on screen partner Kathryn Bernardo, the launch of his clothing line in collaboration with the renowned designer Avel Bacudio, his upcoming television series The Gift and now Alden Richards who flew to Seoul, South Korea Wednesday, August 28 to be recognize and receive an award at Seoul International Drama Awards.
The 27 year old actor, Alden Richards was given the Asian Star Prize which is selected by the Seoul Drama Awards Committee and the Korean Broadcasters Association. The award was given to Alden honors excellence in TV drama productions internationally. Alden once more graces his fans and the country not just with films but with an award, on his speech he mentioned the role of the actors is to bring happiness, entertainment and to inspire people with the passion they put on their job.
“It’s such an honor to receive this award,” he started on his speech, “As a Filipino, I am very humbled and grateful to be recognized in the international scene, along with so many amazing and talented artists here tonight.”
“This award is extra special because it comes at a time when we are celebrating 70 years of friendship between the Philippines and South Korea.”
Alden also praises and thanked the committee for the recognition, “As actors, it is always our hope to make more people happy and inspire them with our passion.” that ended his speech.
Alden stays humbled as he received the award at the Grand Peace Hall of Kyung Hee University in Seoul, South Korea. He is the third Filipino actor that received the Asian Star Prize, the first was Dennis Trillo in 2016 and Gabby Concepcion in 2017. Alden Richards is happy that all the hard work of being an artist are paid off and being recognized internationally. Congratulations Alden Richards! Cheers to more successful career and life!
