In case you took a little social media break over the past few weeks, celebrity couple Bea Alonzo and Gerald Anderson have already broken up.
And for the latest development, Alonzo unfollows her ex-boyfriend on Instagram, as well as Julia Baretto, who’s named has been dragged in the middle of the split.
The talked-about break-up happened after photos of Between Maybe stars Gerald and Julia, looking cozy and flirty in Raver Cruz’s birthday celebration in Taguig, surfaced online.
The photo’s caption read, “This was outside the club going to the parking lot. We saw them last night, okay. Silang dalawa lang pumasok sa car. They went one the same car together. Sweet.”
Adding flames to the heated conversations online, Bea liked the post of the fan, making netizens believe that the Between Maybe stars are behind Alonzo’s sketchy Instagram posts, including a blank black photo with a caption, “You can’t make the same mistake twice. The second time you make it, it’s not a mistake anymore, it’s a choice. ENOUGH.”
‘Just keep moving forward’
Meanwhile, in an interview, Anderson did not directly respond when reporters asked if he was involved in the break up of Baretto and Joshua Garcia.
In a separate interview a week after the news broke out, Alonzo revealed that she was “ghosted” by his ex.
“To my understanding, we did not break up. He just started not talking to me,” she told reporters.
‘Don’t take revenge’
As of posting, Baretto has not directly addressed the issue.
On June 25, the comment section of her Instagram account has been disabled. She then posted a selfie with a cryptic caption, “The difference between coffee and their opinion is—I asked for coffee.”
She also posted two Bible verses in her IG stories, which centered on revenge. The separate posts read, “Don’t take revenge, dear friends. Instead, let God’s anger take care of it. After all, Scripture says, ‘I alone have the right to take revenge. I will pay back, says the Lord.’ (Romans 12:19)” and “My friends, don’t try to get even. Leave room for God to show his anger. It is written, ‘I am the One who judges people. I will pay them back.’ (Deuteronomy 32:35)”
Garcia, on the other hand, said he had been sending support to Baretto via text, saying, “Malalampasan mo ‘yan. I know you, you’re the strongest girl na nakilala ko. Takot nga ako sayo eh.”
Baretto and Garcia were on the same flight to the US for the ASAP show in San Francisco.
In a recent interview with ABS CBN, Anderson commented that he and Bea had been having fights prior to the issue.
“Siguro ang nangyari, just like any relationship, we had fight after fight after fight. Then we had that one big fight na d’on niya nailabas lahat ng emotions and feelings. Nandoon ‘yung realization na hindi na siya masyadong healthy and we’re just hurting each other. Ayun, umabot sa point na ayawan na talaga. Then after that, you’ve got to stay strong para umiwas muna sa communication,” he told ABS CBN news.
