Who wouldn’t fall in love with a guy who shows undying support in things we do even if we ourselves think that we aren’t going to make it? A guy who loves throwing surprises in the most unexpected moment? A guy who would never make you feel alone despite being hundreds of miles apart? This and more, is what young actress Kathryn Bernardo sees within her long-time beau Daniel Padilla. After attending the thanksgiving party of her most recent blockbuster film “Hello, Love, Goodbye”, Kathryn took to Instagram her love and gratitude to the love of her life, Daniel Padilla. She posted random photos they exchanged between each other while she lived in Hong Kong for a month shooting the movie.
Kathryn described Daniel as “not only her source of inspiration but also her support system, her rock and her strength”. Despite being hundred of miles apart, she said that Daniel never made her feel alone – not even once. She mentioned that there were times when she felt worn out, drained, exhausted and very lonely that she almost gave up as she was too immersed in the character she had to portray in the movie: an OFW who was working in Hong Kong. Kath said that it was one of the most difficult things she had to go through both on and off cam. Daniel kept her going by constantly keeping in touch and exchanging random photos of their everyday lives whilst in a “long distance relationship” during that time. In fact, DJ even surprised Kathryn by flying to Hong Kong himself and knocking on her doorstep one random evening. Kath said she always had a pillow with Daniel’s t-shirt on, which she hugged every time she felt like breaking down. Although it sounds a little bit childish, she was proud to say that that simple gesture made her strong. In her long Instagram post, Kathryn said that Daniel was her biggest supporter and number one cheerleader. Although it was difficult for them to part ways for a few months, Daniel allowed Kath to “spread her wings and fly” and trusted that he will always have her back. He always pushed Kath beyond her limits and never gave her a reason to doubt herself nor their relationship. Kath even said that “thank you” is not enough to express everything she felt at the moment as it was Daniel’s love that made the immense success of “Hello, Love, Goodbye” possible. Kathryn capped her long caption with beautiful and meaningful phrases such as “Your success is mine; my success is yours”, “I hope I made you proud”, and “I couldn’t have done this without you by my side.”
Meanwhile, celebrity Anne Curtis commented on the post and said that nothing beats the feeling of having someone who would love, support, and allow you to spread your wings and still be genuinely happy for you even if sometimes they couldn’t be by your side. Anne said that this is how you know you found yourself a keeper. She also congratulated Kath for the success of her newest movie.
