“Miracle In Cell No. 7” was one heck of a movie. It was like a rollercoaster ride we all took and now, can’t get enough of even if so many years have passed. With the movie’s touching storyline and amazing characters, we can bet that you can’t get over it too. So instead of helping you move on and let go, we’re going to feed you with more of the movie and no, it’s not from Korea. In fact, it’s from our very own country, the Philippines.
The Korean movie we all loved is set to have a Filipino remake distributed by Viva films and some of the cast members have been announced. Aga Muhlach and Nadine Lustre will lead the show while Joel Torre, JC Santos, and Arjo Atayde are a few of the rest.
The actors’ roles haven’t been announced yet, but we’re feeling that Aga Muhlach might take on the role of the innocent father who was mistaken to commit a crime. Nadine Lustre might be the adult version of Aga Muhlach’s supposed character’s daughter while the rest of the mentioned cast could be the inmates that were in cell no. 7 together with Aga Muhlach’s character. We could be wrong, but our movie senses are tingling and telling us so. Well, we’ll just have to wait and see.
Meanwhile, the remake is planned to show in cinema houses nationwide during the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), but this is not yet one hundred percent confirmed. If this is so though, then we can expect to cry over it this December. It sounds pretty far away, but we can bet that it’ll be worth the wait.
