One designer stood out from the rest in this year’s ABS-CBN Ball. The designer who dressed Kris Aquino in a stunning yellow gown for the movie Crazy Rich Asian and other celebrities like Anne Curtis, Nadine Lustre and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, and we bet you already guessed it right! The renowned Filipino designer Michael Leyva, and ABS-CBN Ball 2019 is a great opportunity to shock and believe the unimaginable creations of the young Filipino designer. One of his celebrity muses that night which took our breath away is Janella Salvador.

Janella elegantly and sophisticatedly walked on the red-carpet event in her Maria Clara inspired gown with puff sleeves. Michael and Janella revealed that the modernized traditional Maria Clara gown is a product of innovation and collaboration of them, where Michael used piña fabric as the main material for the gown.

In an interview Michael explained, “Janella knows what she wants initially. She wanted to look like Audrey Hepburn, which is very elegant and simple.” Perry Tabora, Mickey See and John Valle are the glam team who made sure that Janella will emulate that Audrey Hepburn vibes.

Janella Salvador gladly shared how much she appreciated her team, “Cheers to my 9th ball! Thank you for consistently making me feel like a princess every year,” tagging her glam team. The young actress also didn’t forget to thank Michael Leyva, “To my dearest @michaelleyva_, thank you for making my vision come to life even better than i imagined it to be. You truly are so wonderfully talented.”, she added on her Instagram post.
