Set to Georgia’s “About Work the Dancefloor (The Black Madonna Remix)”, Dior showcases its sought-after Dior Men Fall 2020 fashion show in Miami, Florida by Dior Men’s artistic Director, Kim Jones. The tone is set in vibrant colors of graffiti giving it a palpable, intense vibe. Complete with vintage American pastel yellow and blue cars parked outside the street across the main venue, which is in the new Rubell Museum, the Stars of Dior were featured rolling up in iconic 1960s convertibles along the streets of Miami.
For this year’s men’s line, Mr. Kim Jones collaborated with famous artist Shawn Stussy – a brilliant mind positioned in between counterculture and the creative world of surfing. His design for the Dior Miami set boasts of a myriad of wave-like iterations of the letters spelling out “Dior”. He came up with this design by imagining an abstract barrel wave flushing from degrade yellow to blue and tagged with various remixes of “Dior” characters.
Famous celebrities who graced the event include friend of Dior fashion house David Beckham, who was spotted sporting a special look from the Dior Summer 2020 collection; as well as front row regular Kim Kardashian West who was accompanied by her sister Kourtney Kardashian. Kim was clad in a coat and a Dior saddle bag from the recently unveiled Dior Men Fall 2020 collection by Mr. Kim Jones. Travis Scott was also present donning the limited edition “Air Jordan 1 High OG Dior” sneakers – the fruit of the collaboration between Dior and the Jordan brand. He was privileged to first test out the pair which was set to be unveiled on the runway. Travis was also clad in iconic Dior Men Fall 2020 pieces. Super model Bella Hadid was also spotted in the front row of the fashion show, also in a Dior outfit. Wang Junkai was among the stars in Dior as he was spotted in a pair of Dior trousers, jacket, shirt, and bag all from Mr. Kim Jones’ latest designs.
