Could there be anything better than a live performance of the two most recognized women in the music industry? The “most streamed artist on Spotify”, Moira dela Torre together with Awit Awards’ Favorite Female Artist, Sarah Geronimo joined forces as they rocked the stage at Sunday noontime variety show “ASAP Natin ‘To” last weekend. The dynamic duo performed the Himig Handog 2017 grand winner song, “Titibo-tibo” while numerous fans cheered as they watched “the greatest showdown” live on studio and straight from their homes across the country.
Moira and Sarah dominated the recently held Awit Awards as they both bagged numerous recognitions during the event that was held at the New Frontier Theater just a few weeks ago. The twenty five year old singer-songwriter Moira dela Torre took home not one, not two – but five prestigious trophies including “Music Video of the Year”, “Album of the Year”, “Song of the Year”, “Most Streamed Single”, and “Most Streamed Album”.
Meanwhile, Sarah Geronimo was also a winner as she bagged numerous Awit awards such as “Best Song Written for Movie/TV/Stage Play”, “Best Performance by a Female Recording Artist”, and “Favorite Female Artist”.
Moira dela Torre marked her name in the local music industry for her Himig Handog winning single “Titibo-tibo”. She became Spotify Philippines’ number one most streamed artist last year after releasing her full album “Tagpuan”, which comprises beautiful songs such as “Malaya” and “Tagpuan”, among others.
Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo, on the other hand, is currently promoting her upcoming movie “Unforgettable” under Viva Films. The film is directed by Jun Robles Lana and Perci Intalana. It also features special appearances by famous celebrities such as Cherie Gil, Tirso Cruz III, Anne Curtis, and Regine Velasquez. The much-awaited movie is set to screen in theaters nationwide starting the 23rd of October.
