In 27 days, we are going to celebrate the most anticipated day of the year, Christmas. And establishments like the malls, parks, churches, and even our own houses are all geared up for that special day. And as you look at every corner you can see the decorations that remind you and will give you all the Christmas feels! Even our mode of transportation is also making sure that our way going to school or work and going home, can still help us feel the Christmas vibes that can somehow relieve our stress in commuting, especially this holiday season. The Light Rail Transit or LRT 1 launched three trains decked with Christmas decorations that will make you feel all the vibes of the holiday season.
Last Wednesday, November 27, LRT 1 let their customers ride in the “Christmas In Our Homes” theme trains. The interior is designed with three-dimensional Christmas ornaments, dominated with green and red colors to give the customers a traditional and modern Filipino home feeling. You can also learn “Merry Christmas” in different Philippine dialects. During the launch of the Christmas trains, Ayala Corporation Chairman and CEO and LRMC Vice Chairman Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala thanked LRT 1 customers for choosing LRT as their mode of transportation on a daily basis, he also mentions about the symbolic importance of train for Christmas as it gives the spirit of joy and cheer. He also hopes for the customers to be delighted for by their simple way of giving a good and comfortable experience for commuters.
The iconic Christmas singer-songwriter Jose Mari Chan graced the event even more when he serenaded the commuters with the song “Christmas in Our Hearts” alongside the carolers from the Children’s Joy Foundation, Inc. and other OPM artists. The LRT staffs also give out free chocolates to commuters on that day to complete the whole experience.
It is the fourth year for LRT 1 to have their trains decorated with a Christmas theme. You can enjoy your Christmas train ride until February 2020.
