The beautiful Nadine Lustre isn’t just a pretty face. The multitalented actress, singer, entrepreneur, and music video director has bagged multiple prestigious awards since 2014. Actually, in 2018 alone, she received a total of six award nominations – four of which she won: Young Critics Circle Best Performer award, the FAMAS Award for Best Actress, and the Gawad Urian for Best Actress. These awards were in commemoration for her outstanding acting prowess for the movie “Never Not Love You” with James Reid.
At an early age of 12, Nadine entered the world of show business as a TV host in then RPN’s children oriented show, “Storyland”. She was also a child host at Disney Channel Asia, until in 2009 when she joined an all-girl group, “Pop Girls” together with twins Lailah and Mariam Bustria, Diana Pama Aller, Rose Ginkel, and Shy Carlos. She eventually left the group to start a solo music career which started to blossom in 2014 as she released multiple singles with boyfriend James Reid.
Today, Nadine is busy on her music career as she declined a role in the Metro Manila Film Festival Filipino adaptation of Korean film “Miracle in Cell No. 7”. The twentyfive year old celebrity shared, “With my music, if it is a single or an album, we’ll see. It’s hard kasi, especially if you write your own songs so it’s not that easy, same with the recording, planning and everything. It is under Careless Music Manila.” Nadine could not yet confirm whether she is ready to return to filming soon. In an interview with the press at the “Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) LIGA2 Kontrabida” event at Mall of Asia’s Music Hall last September 29, Nadine said, “We’ll see, but I am working on music now.”
During her past interviews, Nadine expressed her desire to take a brief break from filming after doing two movies this year: “Ulan” with Carlo Aquino and “Indak” with Sam Concepcion. The reason behind this is because Nadine wanted to spend the rest of the year doing things that she enjoys most such as playing mobile games, traveling and reading.
Nadine shared that she is the type of person who easily gets depressed when she doesn’t get to do creative things as she loves to travel, listen to music, read, or simply just chill. She added, “I’m really happy and feel refreshed. Iba po talaga kapag nakakapagpahinga ka and you’re able to do the things you love.”
Together with Billy Crawford, Boy Abunda, Vhong Navarro, and Luis Manzano, Nadine Lustre will soon be seen on TV as among the stars in ABS-CBN’s upcoming talent search show, “Your Moment”.
