Have you ever just sat down, sighed, and thought, “Hey, why doesn’t the fashion industry make puffer coat gowns?” Yeah, we didn’t do that too. We mean, who would? Honestly, why should puffer coats be made into gowns in the first place? But you know, apparently the world is just hella crazy to decide to make puffer coat gowns. Yes, it’s actually a thing and if you don’t already know, it’s spreading like wildfire on the internet.
The brand behind the birth of the crazy fusion of puffer coats and gowns is the Italian brand, Moncler, who designed it for their 2018 winter collection. Now, we know what you’re thinking, “Let’s go and toilet paper the heck out of this brand’s office,” but before you do that, we’re going to admit that the actual look is pretty cool for a “forbidden fusion”.
In fact, other people thought it was really cool. By other people, we mean actress Millie Bobby Brown who had actually decided to wear a puffer evening dress whilst she walked on the red carpet and can we just say that she is slaying it.
Yeah, see? Puffer coats? Gowns? Puffer coat gowns? Yeah, they are not so bad. Now, if what you are thinking is buying this thing, that’s a totally different story so we’re just going to be straight-up honest with you: the price is a shocker. The dress starts at $2,710 so yes, basically only rich people want to get and wear this bizarre thing. We don’t know why, but maybe it could be the same reason why you want to buy it: wanting to be cute in puffer coats and hey, that’s cool. We want to be cute in puffer coats too. But, if you can’t seem to get to buy it (we feel you because we can’t either), let’s admit that it’s just really nice to know about such unique things dominating the industry and actually becoming fashion statements.
