WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILERS ABOUT MALEFICENT: MISTRESS OF EVIL AHEAD. Well, SPOILERS OF AURORA’S OUTFITS IN THE MOVIE at least. Scroll ahead if you want to see it, but BEWARE AS YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil has just premiered and might I just say that the movie was absolutely enchanting. From special effects to the storyline? I’d say Disney has done better than the first movie, proving that sequels don’t have to be worse than the first. What was most enchanting though was Aurora’s final outfit in the movie, because of this, I figured it would be fair to rate the live action Disney princesses so far according to their dazzling and enchanting outfits, because hey, even the fairytale world cannot escape the grasps of fashion.
Oh and just to be fun, we’re doing a countdown.
3. Aurora (Maleficent: Mistress of Evil)
Standing at top 3 is Aurora’s (Elle Fanning) wardrobe. Though she isn’t the main character of the movie as how she was in the original animated Disney classic…
…there’s definitely no way she won’t be able to steal your attention and other than her kind nature, graceful behavior, and beautiful angelic face, it’s her outfits that definitely steal the show and make you think that she isn’t just a Sleeping Beauty, she’s a fashionable one at that.
And honestly, her outfits in the sequel are the only spoiler you might ever really need.
Even Elle Fanning’s dress for the premiere designed by Gucci and inspired by her character, Aurora, was delightful. And since Elle Fanning practically owned the part of Aurora, we’re putting that outfit here.
2. Cinderella (Cinderella)
Cinderella’s transformation from rags to riches was splendid. With her fairy godmother at her side, any type of gown seemed possible and to be fair, her fairy godmother had quite the taste in clothes.
The Cinderella gown pays homage to the original animated version, giving it a more enchanting and modern look that just mesmerized us all.
1. Jasmine (Aladdin)
And… we have a winner! Jasmine tops this list, because it isn’t just one gown she slays. She slays ALL. But can we really blame her? Disney just exerted too much effort with her gowns, going crazy with the tons of Swarovski crystals on her dress and to be fair, we loved and still are loving it!
Even her disguise into the grassroots of Agrabah was fantastic!
That train of her dress that flowed down the steps was just perfect too!
And of course, Jasmine’s signature dress that totally did not disappoint! It sure did pay its tributes to the original!
If animated Jasmine saw her wardrobe, you know she’d go cray cray in a good way.
