Jumanji: The Next Level, the sequel to Jumanji: Welcome To Jungle, has been released in Philippine cinemas around the first week of December and it is going off the charts with its success.
The film, featuring Jumanji as a video game instead of a board game, which originally had Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Karen Gillan, and Nick Jonas, returned with a whole new video game plot and cast.
Added to the cast are legendary actors Danny DeVito and Danny Glover and the bold Awkwafina.
Giving out a non-spoiler free review, I could say that the sequel is a massive hit and is even better than its former. It has managed to become more exciting, thrilling, and incredibly hilarious.
The movie introduces a new arc of the Jumanji video game as the friends go in for another level which is pretty much a foreseen plot with the film’s new title, Jumanji: The Next Level.
The character development and storyline isn’t slow at all and will undoubtedly have you begging for more. The movie has even grown enough to punch in a few dramatic scenes here and there and a lesson in life you will never forget.
All in all I’d give the movie a 11/10, an exaggeration just because it’s that good.
Other movie fans and moviegoers have seemed to think that way as well. This includes show business insider, E!, as they take two of the lead stars, Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart to a burn and compliment challenge where they ask both stars to insult each other for a minute before they compliment each other for another minute.
With the game going on, Kevin Hart takes the opportunity to slam Dwayne’s big muscular thighs to his face while Dwayne claims Kevin Hart has bad breath. Both laugh hilariously at what each other says.
At the next round, both are asked to butter each other up. Dwayne goes first, saying how amazed he is that Kevin gets to make thousands of people in one room feel absolutely great about themselves. Kevin Hart thanks Dwayne for the compliment, saying that his thighs aren’t all that bad in return and how jealous he actually is of it. Dwayne laughs and says that Kevin Hart’s breath isn’t actually really that bad.
At the end of the game, Dwayne and Kevin laugh as they say how much fun they had by doing just that.
Jumanji: The Next Level is still out in local cinema houses now. Get your chance to watch it already while it still is!
