Dubbed as the Philippines’ “Popstar royalty”, Sarah Geronimo has played several roles in her life. She is a singer, actress, model, dancer, brand ambassador, entrepreneur, and now, also a news anchor as she hosts prime time news program “TV Patrol”. Sarah was recently featured as “celebrity guest patroller” at TV Patrol’s Star Patrol segment last October 14. The “Popstar Princess” proved that her voice is not only for singing as she demonstrated excellent broadcasting skills in the said show, which immediately trended on Twitter complete with a hashtag #SarahOnStarPatrol. Among her reports were People’s champ Manny Pacquiao’s upcoming movie “General Malvar”, Bea Alonzo’s birthday music video, “Muli”, and of course – her upcoming movie, “Unforgettable”.
Due to the thirty one year old celebrity’s widespread popularity, every song, endorsement and performance by the “Popstar Princess” seems to create buzz on the internet, especially on social media.
Last year, Sarah bagged multiple award nominations for her block buster comedy-drama movie, “Miss Granny”. The film is based on a South Korean film and is under the direction of renowned film maker, Joyce Bernal. The movie featured a powerhouse cast including multi-talented celebrities such as James Reid, Xian Lim and Nova Villa; thus its three nominations at the FAMAS Awards.
On October 23, Sarah will once again conquer the hearts of millions of Filipinos as she releases another film in the big screen: “Unforgettable”. The “Popstar Royalty” considers this project unique from her other movies in the past as she is co-starred by a professionally-trained dog, “Milo”. In fact, Sarah admitted in an interview that she is a dog lover herself, and she felt liberated due to the fact that she didn’t have a leading man in this movie. “Talagang nagba-bank ka doon sa istorya itself at sa script also.” The thirty one year old celebrity added, “Wala po kaming naging problema. Nakakagulat nga kasi napaka-focused niya. Nakakagulat kasi nung first time na sinabi ng trainer niya while we are doing a scene, ‘Focus Milo, focus,’ talagang focused at every time, ‘yun ang binibigay, big focus. Professionalism, ‘di ba? ‘Yung aso professional, nahiya nga me.”
So save the date – October 23, 2019: don’t miss Sarah Geronimo and Milo’s inspiring movie in theaters nationwide, “Unforgettable” under Viva Films!
