After the split of hit love team “Aldub”, it is apparent that both Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza continued to flourish in their careers despite working with other leading ladies and leading men in the big screen. Not so long ago, the “Dubsmash Queen’s” former leading man – “Pambansang Bae” Alden Richards released his newest movie “Hello, Love, Goodbye”, which currently holds the title of being the highest grossing film in the history of Philippine box office. Alden’s leading lady in this movie is the famous and multi-talented actress, Kathryn Bernardo.
On the other hand, “Yaya Dub” Maine Mendoza is currently promoting her newest movie with Carlos Aquino scheduled to screen nationwide this October 16 – “Isa Pa With Feelings”. The official trailer of the movie was released a few weeks ago and immediately went viral on social media.
This Saturday, Maine will be featured at the Philippines’ number one music channel – MYX Philippines. She will share the spotlight with thirty year old Myx VJ Robi Domingo who is equally energetic as the “Dubsmash Queen”.
During her teenage years, Maine already aspired to become a critically acclaimed and world-famous celebrity. In fact, at the age of sixteen, she fondly recalled tweeting the famous greeting from MYX VJs, “Hi. You’re watching Myx. The number one music channel in the Philippines.” Today, she finally gets to say those words herself in front of the camera where millions of Filipinos will be watching her.
Before “Aldub” rose to fame, Maine Mendoza attempted to join ABS-CBN’s reality show “Pinoy Big Brother.” She was however unsuccessful during the auditions. Indeed, this young and talented actress is a testament that failures lead to success. Today, Maine is known as one of the most-followed, loved, and respected celebrities in the Philippines.
