Here’s an update for us about the much-awaited Philippine adaptation of Miracle In Cell No. 7. A photo posted by JC Santos on his Instagram account along with the other casts on their “inmate” costume sparks joy and excitement for all and we can’t help but get excited about this remake!
With veteran actors Soliman Cruz, Joel Torre, Jojit Lorenzo, and Mon Confiado alongside with the star actor Aga Muhlach, JC can’t help but to get starstruck as well with his co-stars, “‘Yung mukha ko hindi pa rin makapaniwala.” he captioned. The fans express their excitement for this much-anticipated remake of the heart-pinching story of Miracle In Cell No. 7, like seriously even we watched it for the nth time we still cry, sob and get touched by this film.
As a refresher, Miracle in Cell No. 7 is a multi-awarded Korean Film with original casts Ryu Seung-ryong as Lee Yong-gu, a mentally challenged man who is wrongly accused and charged of rape and murder with a child having a daughter portrayed by So-won as Ye-sung, as a child, and Park Shin-hye as Ye-sung as the adult daughter who became a lawyer to prove the innocence of his father. The comedy-drama Korean film will have its Filipino adaptation by Aga Muhlach as Lee Yong-gu, Xia Vigor as Ye-sung as the young daughter and Bela Padilla will portray the role of the adult daughter. We are all drawn with the unique story of Miracle In Cell No. 7, the love of a Father to his child, the unity and bond formed whilst in prison and the pure love of his daughter for his father.
This remake is also one of the most anticipated film because Aga Muhlach will be back on a big screen from his last year’s movie “First Love” together with Bea Alonzo. The Philippine adaptation of Miracle In Cell No. 7 will be part of Metro Manila Film Festival 2019 for December, so mark your calendars SHY peeps!
